Note | The Tanjung Peropa Wildlife Sanctuary is designated as a Margastwa Reserves area based on the Decree of the Minister of Forestry No. 393 / Kpts-VII / 1986 dated December 23, 1986. Previously it has been designated by Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No. 845 / Kpts / Um / 11/1980 dated November 25,1980, taking into account the Governor KDH Kindergarten Recommendation. I Southeast Sulawesi Number: Pta.4 / 1/11 dated January 16, 1973 and Letter of the Director General of Forestry Number: 3689 / DJ / I / 1980 dated October 25, 1980. The background of the appointment is that the forest group Tajopa Peropa is representative of tropical rain forest ecosystems with non-Dipterocarpaceae forest type vegetation, shrubs, coastal forests and mangrove forests that are habitat for protected species of wildlife and plants. |

Wildlife Reserve of Peropa Peninsula has a varied topography of flat, sloping, hilly and mountainous, the slope of up to 45%. While the type of soil is brown podzolic in the southern part of the region. Stone blocks with diameters of 30 cm to 300 cm are also common in this region, especially in areas near the coast. According to the geological map of Indonesia in 1965, the forest area of Tanjung Peropa Wildlife Reserve has a geological formation consisting of undifferentiated meozoic rock sediments and skill crystals. There are several watery rivers throughout the year, as well as Moramo waterfall which is one of the attractions in Southeast Sulawesi. |
