Note | Sangeh Nature Park originally status of Nature Reserve (Natuur Monument) in accordance with Government of Netherlands Indies Government Decree Number 90 dated February 12, 1919 which at that time the new width of 9.8 ha, where the Nature Reserve is a manifestation of efforts to protect the natural wealth with the diversity of species of fauna flora.
This location is a place of Hindu religious ceremony in which there is Pura relic of the Kingdom of Mengwi Abad XVII and the surrounding forest known as the sacred Forest of the Pala. In its development this area became one of the mainstay attractions based on ecotourism and culture in the Province of Bali. On July 31, 1979, measurements and borders were also carried out by the Central Planology of Forestry IV Nusa Tenggara so that the area increased to 10.8 hectares with total 1,297 km of artificial boundary and 17 concrete boundary numbers. Based on the Sangeh Nature Reserve Additional Boundary (RTK.21) News Update dated May 9, 1990, it is expanded by adding compensation land from the State Electricity Company (PLN) of 3,169 Ha. Then on February 16, 1993 came out the Decree of the Minister of Forestry No 87 / Kpts-II / 1993 on the change of Sangeh Nature Reserve to Sangeh Nature Park with an area of 13,969 Ha. Decree of the Minister of Forestry Number SK.203 / Menhut-II / 2014 dated March 3, 2014 concerning the Establishment of the Sangeh Nature Tourism Park (RTK.21) covering an area of 13.91 Ha in Badung Regency, Bali Province. |

Topographic state of land has a sloping shape. The slope of 0- 5%, the length of the slope 10 – 25 m, the form of micro land in the form of plains and valleys.
The dominant geomorphological process is the process of erosion and precipitation. The active erosion process occurs in the Tukad Valley (River) Yeh Penet which is the western boundary of the Sangeh Nature Park. Locations in the lithology of the Buyan-Beratan-Batur Purba Formation (Qbb). This formation is a mixture of volcanic materials in the form of tuff, lava, lava and ash. In general this formation forms a well-sorted layers of large stone separations to small size (gravel), the name of the formation shows the age of the Quarter. The soil type according to the National Classification (Soil Research Center) is the yellowish brown Latosol. According to the taxonomic classification, the soil type is classified as an order of lnceptisol and in subgroups including Typic Tropaquepts. |
