Note | The forest area of Mount Baung is designated as a natural tourism park with an area of 195.5 ha through the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No. 657 / Kpts / Um / 9/1980 dated September 11, 1980.
The basis of appointment as a natural tourism park is its biodiversity, beauty, and geological nature. Previously, the forest area of Mount Baung since June 6, 1959 by the Minister of Agriculture, designated as a nature reserve through the Decree No. 89 / Um / 1959 with an area of 195.5 Ha. |

Topographic area of Mount Baung nature tourism area is bumpy to hilly, only a small portion of ramps and steep slopes with the highest peak of Mount Baung (501 m asl.)
Land in Gunung Baung nature park consists of yellow red and latosol mediteran components. Based on the Land Map of East Java Province, Bogor Land Research Institute of 1966 in this region there is a type of soil formed from old kwartier rocks with the main rock in the form of metamorphic deposits. |
