Note | The Karimata Islands is located in Kabupaten KAYONG UTARA for the first time designated as Nature Reserve based on the Decree of the Director General of Forestry. 2240 / DJ / I / 1981, dated June 15, 1981 with an area of 77,000 ha, the existence of the status and area of the Nature Reserve is also reinforced by the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture no. 575 / Kpts. / Um / 10/1982 dated October 12, 1982 (Forest Utilization Plan of West Kalimantan Province). Then on December 27, 1985, based on the Decree of the Minister of Forestry no. 381 / Kpts – II / 1985 The Karimata Islands Nature Reserve is designated as a Nature Reserve with an area of 77,000 ha. The Karimata archipelago consists of two large islands, Karimata Island and Serutu Island, and its other islands, including Pelawar Pelawar Island, Pelapis Tengah Island, Bulu Island, Surunggading Island, Buwan Island and Pulau Besi. |
