Note	Dolok Saut Nature Reserve area is set to become Nature Reserve with Chronological History as follows: Dolok Saut Forest is planned as a cover forest (protector) based on letter no. 673/70, July 28, 1922; Based on GB. No. On February 4, 1922, the Dolok Saut Forest Area was designated as a natuur monument with an area of 39 ha; Based on the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture no. 923 / Kpts / Um / 12/1982, dated December 27, 1982 on the Appointment of Forest Areas in the Territory of North Sumatra Province of 3,780,132.02 ha as Forest Areas, that the Dolok Saut Register 19 Forest Area serves as nature reserve with the status of nature reserve; Based on the Decree of the Governor of North Sumatera. 650/458 / BPSU / V / 97, dated March 31, 1997 on Pemaduseratanan RTRWP and TGHK Province of North Sumatra, Dolok Saut Forest Estate shall be maintained as a nature reserve area; Based on North Sumatra Regulation no. 7 of 2003 on the Spatial Planning of the Province of North Sumatra Year 2003-2018, Dolok Saut Forest Estate is maintained as a nature reserve area; Based on North Tapanuli Regency Regulation no. 21 Year 2001 Year of North Tapanuli Regency Spatial Planning Year 2001-2011, Dolok Saut Nature Reserve is also maintained as a nature reserve area.

Flora

Endemik	–
Identification	Pinus (Pinus merkusii), Sampinur bunga (Podocarpus imbricatus), Sampinur rope (Dacrydium junghuhnii), and Anturmangan which belong to the type of leaf needle. While the broad-leaved include: Frankincense (Styrax sp), Hoting (Quercus sp), Suren (Toona sureni), Haundolok (Eugenia sp) and so on.As for all stratum growth (seedling, stake, pole, and tree) the others are Anturmangan (Dacrydium junghuhni), Hapas -Hapas (Exbucklandia populnea RW), Sihondung (-), and Hoting (Quercus sp.). But in the Dolok Saut Nature Reserve very little found the types of orchids both orchid and tree orchids. more search required …?
