Note | This term is understandable because Tahura Nipa-Nipa since 1995 Area of Nipa-Nipa Mountain named “MURHUM”, that is when the Appointment of Forest Area of Mount Nipa-Nipa Seluas ± 8.146 Ha Located in Kendari District Level II Region Southeast Sulawesi as a Great Forest Park Named Murhum Forest Park (Decree of the Minister of Forestry No. 289 / Kpts-II / 95, dated 12 June 1995). Subsequently in 1999, Tahura Murhum was designated as a Permanent Forest Estate covering an area of 7,877.5 Ha (Ministry of Forestry Decree No. 103 / Kpts-II / 1999 dated March 1, 1999). The mention of Murhum is taken on the last name of King Buton and also the name of the first Sultan Buton, as a tribute to the king and sultan who once ruled there. So immortalized his name on this Forest Park. |
